At New Mexico School of Massage, we want you to experience the entirety of the massage experience! Through our rigorous classes and programs, experiential learning in our massage clinic, and community-oriented campus, we promise to create a learning environment which fosters your professional and personal growth.
Our in-person programs in Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico, are here to support you, whether your goal is becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist professionally, continuing your education as a therapist, or simply continuing your personal journey of self-inquiry and healing. Dr. Susan Salvo
EdD, BCTMB, LMT
Dr. Susan is a practicing massage therapist with over 35 years of experience, and has also written two best-selling massage textbooks and contributed to many other publications. She teaches prolifically, and learns just as prolifically: with a bachelors and doctorate in education, and a masters in instructional technology, she seeks knowledge just as much as she shares it. In her words, her primary teaching goals are to increase quality of client care, expand therapeutic treatment options, and to create an educational environment of discovery and engagement. A long-time chartered member of the Louisiana AMTA, she was awarded Member of the Year in 1989 and a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2003.
